Specific Vermont EMT requirements:

The Vermont Department of Health is dealing with all EMT matters. They follow the NREMT examination process as many other States. However, prior to get your EMT certification, you must be sponsored by a licensed ambulance or first responder service, the military, or be affiliated with a medical facility that requires the person to hold this level of VT EMS certification. This sponsorship shall include a credentialing process. They have a clear training program for each level of certification:

EMT-B (110 hours)

EMT-I (63 hours)

Paramedics (program approved or recognized by the Vermont Department of Health)
